This is the original picture that I want to edit.

This is the background that we made in class. I want the color of the background in the painting above to match this background without having the woman’s face and clothes turn green!

I liked this technique that we used in class…

STEPS:

1- original layer on top.

2- add two background layers.

3- fill the first layer with the background color Green. Then go to blending options and move the pointer for the Gray blending option. When the background color matches the color you want, stop (Green here).

4-Select the woman and Erase the areas on the face and the clothes of the woman from this layer (the green layer).

5- fill the second layer with a light color. put it on top of the other background layer so that the color of the woman herself is light, not green.

HERE is the out come… hope its useful!

Selecting Colors

I was looking at the website: Natural Selections: Colors Found in Nature and Interface Designe
by Luke Wroblewski, and I decided to try the method.

Choosing colors from nature is really the best method we could use, especially for those who like funky colors like bright red mixed with pink and blue! calm down.. and that’s what our eyes need… calming colors

Here is my try…
